The Le Corbusier LC2 (petit Modele) Armchair was introduced in 1928 at the Salon d‘Autumne in Paris together with matching sofa. It was a modernist response to the traditional club chair with the design reversing the standard structures of sofas and chairs by having externalised frames. With thick, resilient pillows resting within the steel frames, the idea was to offer all the comfort of a padded surface while applying the elegant minimalism of the International Style. The originals were often referred to as “cushion baskets”.
Our Le Corbusier inspired armchair is remarkably comfortable as well as being simple and elegant in style. Available in black Italian leather it will complement most décor styles and is sure to be a talking point with guests. Matching sofas are also available in 2 or 3 seater versions.
True to the original proportions our reproduction Le Corbusier LC2 Petit Modele armchair has an external frame constructed from high quality chromed stainless steel and thick padded cushions covered in sumptuous Italian leather. Constructed to the highest standards our Le Corbusier inspired armchairs come with a lifetime guarantee and are a fantastic investment for your home.
